Genuine Audi Under-body Shield U-nut 8K0805922A OEM A4 B8 - Audi (8K0-805-922-A)

Genuine Audi Under-body Shield U-nut (Audi part number 8K0-805-922-A) is a precision-engineered retaining fastener designed to secure the under-body shield, radiator support panel, and fender liner extension components on the Audi A4. This small but critical clip-style nut slides onto sheet metal flanges beneath the front end of the vehicle, holding deflector panels and splash guards firmly in place against road vibration, airflow pressure, and thermal cycling. When this fastener fails or goes missing, panels rattle, shift, or detach entirely, leaving critical cooling and structural components exposed to road debris and moisture damage. Choosing a genuine Audi A4 OEM Under-body Shield U-nut over an aftermarket substitute matters more than it might seem for a fastener this size. OEM U-nuts are stamped to exact thickness tolerances and spring tension specifications so they grip the flange consistently without loosening over time, something generic hardware-store equivalents routinely fail to replicate. Aftermarket versions often fit loosely, corrode faster, or simply strip the mounting edge, turning a simple fix into a costly repair.
